Week 1: Personal Profile

Hi, everyone!
I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology with the Library Media Licensure.

I am an Integrated Math teacher and assistant football coach at the Canton Local School district, and I have no experience as a Library Media Specialist. This is my sixth year of teaching, and it is my fifth year at Canton Local. My life experience has included the Navy (right after high school) in 1983. Then, I entered the industrial work force which included stints as a boiler helper, machine operator, high voltage technician, welder and steel worker. I graduated from Kent in 2003 with my undergrad while working full time, raising a family and coaching.

My wife's name is Suzanne which I have been married to for close to nineteen years (Nov. 4th). Wow! The time flies. I have two sons Donnie and Derek. They are both students at Canton South where I teach. Donnie is a senior and Derek is a sophomore.

My future goal is to gain employment as a Library Media Specialist.
