Week 11: Technology Standards

The following scenario is a very realistic situation involving the implementation of the technology standards.

Scenario
Your new principal has been to the latest countywide principals meeting. During the meeting, they went through a process known as scenario planning concerning transportation issues. This process has been mostly used in the business field, but it has been gaining prominence in the field of education. It gives associates the opportunity to reflect on one particular area, and it allows them to contribute in the problem solving process. It is kind of like a brainstorming session about the future. After attending the meeting, the principal contacts you about developing a scenario planning group. He wants the group to develop a plan over the remainder of the school year that would address the intricacies of implementing the new technology standards. He wants to initiate the plan next year and have it finalized the following year.

These standards are currently just used as guidelines, but I believe this scenario is going to be very realistic one in the near future. It is going to require a lot of collaboration from everyone involved.
